Dallas lost to Denver ok? the Mavericks almost won it, but they didn't. the game was in Denver, and it was close, 99-97.
Dirk gets 42, matching his season high I think. anyway, the Mavs are solid. Rick Carlisle, the new coach, is solid. he is defensive-minded. he's a solid coach, with a group of better-than-solid players. is it enough to win it all?
this blog is framed by basketball, or at least, it's structure is hung on news from the NBA (but mostly my opinions). it's a fair enough backbone. why not, it's only a blog, right blog?
the Denver Nuggets are a very good team. the trade of Allen Iverson to the Detroit Pistons was a wise choice for Denver: they got Chauncey Billups. now, Chauncey Billups has a gigantic head, both literally and metaphorically. he is a very good player, a veteran and yet still very powerful and effective. the Nuggets are a better team now, with Chaunce and with Iverson gone. which is too bad, because I always liked the Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson match up. It always seemed like a good fit, you would think that they would have done better together. but it was only so-so. and now the Nuggets are ripping and check this out, the Pistons lost tonight to the Charlotte Bobcats, and the game was in Detroit. dudes, what's up?
yeah so the Mavericks lost and tomorrow is the New Orleans Hornets who are a very good team. at least the game is in Dallas.
unrelated to basketball, I am looking forward to Spring.
